Every 4 guests count as 1 paid seat on Pro and above, which means 20 vendors editing a status column twice a quarter still consume 5 paid seats — at $19/seat/month on Pro, that's $1,140/year for sporadic edits.
The board-update flow doesn't help. Update emails come to your inbox, not the recipient's; column-level access is all-or-nothing per board; field teams on phones either log in (they won't) or your project lead types it in for them (slow, error-prone).

Does each external editor consume a monday.com seat?
No. RowRouter connects to your account through your own auth (PAT or OAuth) — that's the operator seat. Recipients use links and never appear in your monday.com user count.
Which monday.com column types are supported?
Text, long text, numbers, status, dropdown, dates, timeline, people, link, email, phone. Files are read-only in v1.
Does this work with monday.com automations?
Yes. RowRouter writes through the official monday.com API; any automation triggered by a column change fires normally.
Can recipients update items on private boards?
Yes. Your operator account has access to the board through your auth; RowRouter performs the update on your behalf. The recipient never sees the board itself.
What about subitems?
RowRouter supports reading subitem data into the recipient view as read-only context. Editing subitems is on the roadmap.
