RowRouter for QuickBooks Online.
Row-scoped edit links for QuickBooks Online — let clients categorize their own transactions without your login or a portal build.
Why this exists for QuickBooks Online
The QuickBooks Online-specific case.
Bookkeepers chase clients for transaction categorization week after week. The client doesn't have (and shouldn't have) your QuickBooks login. They could be added as an accountant user — but they're not an accountant, they're a small business owner who needs to pick 'Office Supplies' from a dropdown.
The back-and-forth eats the margin on a fixed-fee engagement. Each chase email costs you 10 minutes; each clarification thread costs you 30; month-end takes a week because four transactions are still uncategorized.
RowRouter sends a single-purchase link per uncategorized transaction. The client opens the link, sees the vendor + amount + memo, picks the account from the chart of accounts you exposed (and optionally a class), submits. The QuickBooks purchase updates with correct SyncToken handling. Month-end gets shorter.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about QuickBooks Online.
Does the client need a QuickBooks login?
No. Recipients never log into QuickBooks. RowRouter connects to your books via OAuth (the only supported auth path on QBO) — that's your operator seat. Clients use links only.
Which QuickBooks transaction types can be categorized this way?
Purchases (Bills, Bill Payments), Sales (Invoices, Payments), Journals, and Transfers. Line-item editing on Bills and Invoices is on the roadmap.
Does RowRouter respect QuickBooks' SyncToken concurrency model?
Yes. RowRouter reads SyncToken at link-issue time and validates at submit. If the transaction was modified server-side between, the recipient sees a conflict screen and can resolve.
Can the client see other transactions or accounts?
No. Each link is scoped to the single transaction you chose. The chart-of-accounts dropdown only shows accounts you allowlisted on the form.
Sandbox vs production?
Configurable via Intuit OAuth. Most users connect via production once they verify the flow in sandbox.
Connect QuickBooks Online and send your first row link.
